There are several deleted and alternate scenes which is not in the final version of the films. Most of these scenes are included in the Blu-ray extras but some of these are from trailers or TV spots. Some scenes had to cut because of time consuming or because the directors thought they don't fit into the final cut.

- The character named Fuller. He would've been the landlord of Mia and John's apartment. Originally, he appeared in three scenes until these were completely cut out. He was played by Christopher Showerman.[1]
- Mia and John meet Fuller in the elevator and they get to know each other. The elevator suddenly stops then a bit later it moves again. Mia gets embarrassed by Fuller and after the meeting she say John that she'll use the stairs from now on. This would've happened before the scene in the church.
- After John says goodbye to Mia in front of Evelyn's library, there would've been a scene where Mia tried to bathe Leah. Later the water warms up by itself. Mia called Fuller who said that's nothing wrong with the pipes and it's impossible that such a thing happened. There was a short phone conversation between Mia and John too.
- Mia puts Leah in the bed and finds her bottle with spoiled milk and insects. After that she sees a cat in the window.
- Mia goes back to the room, which is full of cats. She picks up Leah and drives the cats out with a broom. She meets Fuller in the door who says "Herding cats?" then Mia slams the door in front of him.
- Mia walks through the house and hears a cat growling from underneath the bed. She looks under the bed and something pulls and scratchs her. After she lights up the place and run out the room, Annabelle appears on the bed.
- After the scene where Leah starts screaming John arrives and ask Mia why Leah is crying then they see a scratching on Leah's leg. After this here would've been an alternate scene with Father Perez. When the Father arrives he gives the picture from Mia and Leah to Mia. In the film he gives it at the end near the church.
- The next morning Mia gets up and finds John with Leah. John stayed up at night. Mia says she feel more rested than she've been in months because Father Perez took away the Annabelle doll. John goes to work and Mia tells him that she'll go with Evelyn to sightseeing.
- After Mia flaps the Annabelle doll to the crib then she sees Leah in the hands of the demon. She runs there but the demon disappears. After that in the livingroom the table flies across the room and the couch and the sofa shift away. Mia spots the picture which Father Perez's given to her, then the demon's face appears behind her. She begins to beg for the demon to give back Leah. Then comes the scene where she attempts to suicide to save Leah's soul.

- The shadow of Crooked Man on the wall while Ed's praying.
The original demon[]
Instead of the demon nun Valak, there would've been an another demon which was called the "Horned Demon". It had six horns and large demonic wings. As the original villain it appeared in all of the scenes where now Valak appears. It got replaced because James Wan didn't feel enough personal to Lorraine. The nun form tests and taunt her faith.[2]
The demonic nun was a last-minute replacement. They kept this design for Valak's true form at the end of the movie, when Lorraine send Valak back to Hell. James Wan revealed some pictures from the Horned Demon on his Instagram.[3] A small part of an original scene appears in the VFX Breakdown video.
Joseph Bishara played both the original demon and Valak's true form.
Annabelle: Creation[]
Scenes released on Blu-ray[]
The deleted scenes have released on Blu-ray with the director's commentary.
- Samuel and Esther are talking while Esther is sewing one of the dresses for the Annabelle dolls. This scene takes place after Bee went to sleep. The director said the point of the scene was to show the happy times before the tragedy.
- Sister Charlotte's backstory. In a scene she tells to Mrs. Mullins how she got pregnant. She gave the child up because she was a nun (or becoming a nun). She found out later that the little boy died at the age of 7 when he fell into a frozen lake and got trapped underneath the ice. She says that she thought God would stand up for her and she could keep the child.
- Sister Charlotte wakes up at night and hears scratching under the bed. When she lights there with a lamp then the light projects a shadow of a little boy on the wall. He's scratching like he's trapped underneath the ice. The boy says "Mommy" then the lamp shatters.
- An alternate scene with the little boy instead of Janice. In fact Janice takes the form of the little boy. While Charlotte's praying he tries to arouses guilt in her by saying that Charlotte could have save him, if she don't give him away earlier.
- After dinner when the girls are sleeping, Charlotte goes downstairs then hears what sounds like a child's laughter. She walks through the house then meets Mr. Mullins in the kitchen and they start talking. According to the director this scene was cut out in the last minutes.
- Originally Janice met with Bee much earlier. When Janice first time goes into Bee's room, Bee puts her hand on Janice's shoulder and tells her to hide. Some frames of this scene are still in the film as a spooky easter egg.
- Janice and Bee would've met again during the same night where Carol and Nancy tell ghost stories about Mrs. Mullins. Janice hears music from Bee's room. Bee whispers "Let's be friends" and the Annabelle doll appears on the bed. Then Bee shuts Janice's mouth and says "She's coming".
- After Janice gets possessed and before Linda sees Annabelle through the key hole, Janice would've hanged around the house. Linda sees Janice in her wheelchair downstairs.
- After the popgun scene originally Janice would've come into the room with the Annabelle doll on her lap. Linda tells Janice that she shouldn't have that doll. Then Janice says "Shh!". Janice would've got into the lover bunk instead of the footprints.
- Linda goes downstairs and sees Annabelle in the livingroom. Then she meets Janice who explain her that everyone went to town and Linda's alone with her. This scene would've taken place before Linda goes outside to the porch and tells Mr. Mullins about Annabelle and Janice.
- After the death of Mr. Mullins, Mrs. Mullins says the house isn't the house of Lord. She asks Sister Charlotte to leave the house with the others.
- The girls are in the bedroom and they're sad because they will split up, if they leave the house. Then Carol comes in and tells everyone, especially to Linda that tey won't move into different orphanages because they're a family. Carol in this scene seems surprisingly nice to the people around her.
- Mrs. Mullins meets with the demon. This scene would've taken place after she explained everything to Sister Charlotte. A Bible yanks out of her hands and flies towards Annabelle. Some glimpse of the Bible scene is only included in trailers. After that Annabelle starts floating up into the air then moves left. When it begins to move it becomes clear that the demon's moving the doll just like in the first movie. The scene ends with the demon's staring Mrs. Mullins who's terrified.
- Alternate scene of Carol's being attacked in the barn. Instead of the demon, the evil version of Mrs. Mullins would've attacked her. She's telling herself that Evil Mrs. Mullins isn't real but eventually gets jumpscared by Evil Mrs. Mullins. Carol takes off the mask from her face then she screams and run into the other room which is filled with doll parts. Evil Mrs. Mullins appears in the final cut only when Carol and Nancy tell ghost stories under the sheet.
- Due to Evil Mrs. Mullins would've appeared in the barn instead of the scarecrow so the scarecrow had a smaller role. It would've had a jumpscare after disappeared.
- Alternate scene of Evil Mrs. Mullins in the dumbwaiter shaft. Linda would've encountered Evil Mrs. Mullins instead of Janice after she's trying to escape from Mrs. Mullins' room.
- Evil Mrs. Mullins would've appeared for the last time. After Linda sees Janice stabbing Sweet Sue, originally she would go to the bedroom which shared with Janice but Evil Mrs. Mullins is there. This would've been the motivation for her to go to hide into Bee's room.
- An earlier scene where the girls play a game called "Sardines". Very similar to Hide-and-seek except if you found a hiding person, you hide with them. They suprise Charlotte who wants some sheets from the closet.
